Advent is a time of waiting – waiting for the incarnation of Jesus. The prophets wrote about waiting for the Messiah. As we walk through Advent each year, we remember these things. We are also waiting for the full redemption that Jesus promises.
Advent’s waiting can remind us of personal sadness. This season may also cause us to focus on our future—a hopeful waiting.
